It also has a watertight seal and a UV-resistant coating, shielding the defibrillator from the elements and a secure locking mechanism preventing unauthorised access.

Public use
If the DefibSafe 3 is going to be installed in a public place like a park, school, or business, you might want to keep it locked to prevent unauthorised access. This helps to ensure the defibrillator is only available to those who need it in the event of an emergency.
It is recommended that all defibrillators are registered on the national database: The Circuit so that NHS ambulance services can locate the nearest defibrillator relevant to each emergency call.
Private Use
If you’re installing the DefibSafe 3 in your home, office, or other private place, you might want to keep it unlocked. This provides lightspeed access to the defibrillator in an emergency.
